Abhijit posses cross industry experience having interacted and worked with customers in government, financial markets, telecom and manufacturing across large, medium and small enterprises. Abhijit has worked across countries in Asia pacific. The companies he worked with were Wipro, IBM, HP India and Asia Pacific, Microsoft India and Sify.

Amit Shah KVM developer, Red Hat

Amit Shah has been working on the Linux kernel for several years now. He's an active developer for the Linux kernel hypervisor, KVM. Previously he has worked on MOSIX and openMosix clustering software (and also maintained openMosix for a while). He's also worked on embedded devices and the TCP/IP network stack. He has mentored college students on open source projects and conducted lectures on Operating Systems and Linux programming and occasionally contributed to several other free/open source software projects.

Anil Warrier Microsoft

He spent the initial five years in industrial engineering and ERP Based assignments. Then 1992 onwards in Staffing and other HR spaces. Have worked on Talent related Strategic Consulting Projects for IT Players in India. Has been active in NASSCOM fin the space of Talent Readiness and Up scaling. Have also done intensive assignments on Work Force Planning and Talent/Business Model matrix. Academia Relationships has been one more space where he has done a lot of work.

Arun Bhardwaj Senior Manager, Product Marketing Solutions, Dell

Arun Bhardwaj has more than fifteen years of experience in the telecom and the IT industry. Starting his carrier as a hardware design engineer in ITI R&D Bangalore in 1993, he has successfully executed spectrum of roles ranging from software development, system design, product management, marketing and business development with companies like Motorola, Samsung, and Lucent Technologies. He is currently working with Dell R&D in India and handing product marketing of Enterprise solutions for the Asia Pacific region. His areas of expertise are High Performance Computing Clusters (HPCC), virtualisation and SaaS based solutions.

Ashish Mathur Software Architect, IBM

Ashish Mathur is a Software Architect for IBM Rational and has contributed to the development of Rational Test Tools for over a decade. Ashish has been active in the open source community and has lead the design and development of parts of the Test and Performance Tools Project (originally code-named Hyades) based on the Eclipse platform. He has also lead the adoption of these open source technologies into the Rational products. Some of the products that he has helped develop are Rational Test Manager, Rational Robot, Rational Performance Tester, Rational Functional Tester and more recently Rational Quality Manager based on the server-based Rational Jazz platform.

Ashok Krish Head, TCS Innovation Lab - Web 2.0

Krish Ashok heads the TCS Web 2.0 Innovation lab as part of its Corporate Technology Office and is a passionate open source enthusiast, especially inside the enterprise. Apart from his work in helping TCS and its customers embrace Web 2.0 both internally and externally, he also helped define the TCS Internal IT open source policy over the last two years aimed at increasing the adoption of FOSS inside TCS. When he is not busy micromanaging his research team, he does a bit of Ruby on Rails just to annoy other enterprise architects by telling them "Look. I can do what you can do in Java in 1/10th of time". Outside of work, he is a reasonably well known blogger (No. He does not blog on technology), an amateur violinist, guitarist and a fledgling pianist trying hard to impress his wife with a rendition of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Unknown to many, he also takes his evil open source propaganda on the airwaves once a week by hosting a show on technology on Chennai Live 104.8 FM, where he frequently asks his audience to go open source. He is also a columnist for the New Indian Express.

Benhard Sitohang Director of Center for Empowerment of OSS--ITB (POSS-ITB)

Benhard Sitohang, Dr. Ir. (associate professor) is the director of Center for Empowerment of OSS â€“ ITB (POSS-ITB). He is also affiliated with School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI). He has been associated with POSS-ITB as a founder, since 2007. He promotes for POSS Network in Indonesia (composed by POSS in 23 Universities along Indonesia archipelago). He has been a lecturer in Informatics study program since 1984, beside research in database and data mining systems. He has been appointed for several positions in ITB, i.e. Head of Dept. of Informatics in ITB (1989-1992 and 2000-2004); Secretary of Academic Senat of ITB (2000-2001) and Secretary of Academic Senat of STEI (2006-2008).

He is a professor of computer science engineering at IIT Madras for 30 years, as well as an advisor to the CEO at TCS for six years.

Charles Rose Software Development Technologist, Dell

Charles Rose is a Software Development Technologist at Dell India R&C Centre. His prime area of work is development and validation of Enterprise Linux distributions on Dell PowerEdge server hardware. These include the business intelligence and data warehouse practice, enterprise solutions practice, testing services practice, and the technology and innovation center, which hosts various technology centers of excellence.

In the current role, he is responsible for the technology and consulting business unit of Azri.He has worked across the ladder in the services and consulting sector with primary focus being on US and Japan, and has held various positions ranging from enterprise consultant to technology head for various organizations.Over the past few years, Dibya has focused his attentions to the social and collaborative dimension of product creation and how SMEâ€™s can benefit and fetch a better ROI using open source solutions and help in migrations. Dr. Mishra has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and is an expert in the areas of Operating Systems, middleware and interoperability. He has held several senior techno-managerial positions and has led many system software product engineering and consulting projects while working for Hewlett-Packard, Digital and National Informatics Center (NIC).

Dr Sridhar Iyer Associate Professor, Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay

Prior to his current position, he has been a faculty member in the Dept of Computer Science & Engg at IIT Guwahati. His research interests include: eLearning technologies, networking protocols and multimedia tools for distance education, wireless networking and applications, and some areas in program/protocol verification.

Gautam Sinha Chief Technology Officer, Times Business Solutions

Gautam Sinha has over 21 years of experience in technology innovation and execution that includes a wealth of startup and industry expertise. He is a global executive with rich international experience. Most recently, he was the COO/CTO of CashEdge Inc, where he worked since 2001, building and leading the company from startup to profitability. Prior to CashEdge, he held senior management positions at Sevant, Aspect Communications, at the Neural Applications Corporation, and at the Ministry of Defense in India. He has been awarded numerous US patents for his work done in telecommunication and financial services. His expertise includes highly secure and scalable enterprise software architectures, artificial intelligence and call center solutions. John Smedley Senior Architect, Ingres Corporation

After graduating John Smedley worked in the Financial Sector and in distribution before starting his Information Technology career more than 30 years ago.Â Employed by Relational Technology which became the Ingres Corporation, and then with the ASK group, John Smedley advanced to became a Principal Corporate Consultant with wide ranging Ingres product responsibilities around the world.Â When Computer Associates (CA) acquired the ASK Group, John Smedley became one of the most senior Ingres product specialists, running the Ingres worldwide SWAT Team, and then working with other development groups on CA's integrated Database (MDB). When in 2005, CA sold Ingres to Garnett & Helfrich Capital, John Smedley moved with Ingres into the new company, where he currently reports to the SVP of Engineering.

Lim Kin Chew Senior Lecturer cum Research Fellow, SIM University

Lim Kin Chew looks after the Executive Graduate Diploma and Executive Master Programme on Open Source Software Management. His does research work on elearning standards. He is also the Chairman of Singaporeâ€™s Learning Standards Technical Committee (LSTC). He is also active in the Asia Open Source Software movement, having participated in all the ten conferences and meetings since 2003 when it was first organized by the Japanese government in Phuket, Thailand. He started using Linux and other open source software in the early 1990â€™s.

M Sasikumar Senior Research Scientist, CDAC

Dr Sasikumar is a senior research scientist and technical in-charge at the Navi Mumbai centre of CDAC Mumbai. He has been involved in a number of research projects at the centre for over 15 years, in various capacities. He is a regular faculty in CDAC Mumbai (formerly NCST)'s educational programmes. He has authored two books and a number of papers/articles. His group on educational technology has worked on a number of open source technologies in the area of e-learning. He is currently the main resource person for open source and localisation activities in CDAC.

He is a senior systems analyst at SIM University, School of Science and Technology eLearning Specialist at UBS AG - Global Wealth Management and Business Banking Asia Pacific. His research interest is in Open Source Technology, Enterprise Architecture and Computing.

Prof. C.N. Krishnan Program Director AU-KBC Reseach Center

Prof. Krishnan set up the National Resource Centre for Free/Open Source Software (NRCFOSS) in the University with government funding, working closely with the Indian FOSS community. Jointly with K B Chandrasekhar, he conceived of the AU-KBC Research Centre and served as its founding-director. Prof. Krishnan believes that, in all these instances, the presence of an external player has provided the energy, drive and creativity to all these efforts carried out in the University.

Redhuan D. Oon is the Leader of the ADempiere ERP Project, a top ranking SourceForge project. He is presently with Asia e-University as the Master for Open Source ERP course designer. Redhuan or Red1 as he is famously known by the online community, started as a COBOL Programmer on Data General machines in 1982.

Sonali is a well-known international MySQL trainer and consultant.
