The Software Developers’ Track (Day 2)
Why Use Old Technology To Conquer New Frontiers?

Android, Maemo, Qt, OpenMoko, T-engine — the list goes on and on.

Be it Nokia, Google, Intel or any other major player in the ‘mobile’ space — they have all developed Open Source platforms for developing applications for mobile phones and devices. Thus, while Open Source is fast emerging as the de facto choice in the Web applications world, it is the King in the mobile devices arena.

So, do you wish to move ahead with the times and lead the path, or rather choose to walk the boring trail treaded by the OSI Tech Days attendees?

(April 18, 2009)
We had an attendance of about 20 people, including @PlaneMad, @narananh, @indiblogger and @abattoir.
